Hi all,
I got a palm tree around middle of feb and it was doing great up until 3 weeks ago. I’m pretty sure I overwatered it as we were growing grass that had been ruined by silver jackets and every time I watered the grass I watered the tree.
I have cut into the base just above the soil and it is white/pale and still wet and sticky inside. 2 of the 5 bits that stick out at the top that flower appear to be dead but 3 are still alive and green.
As you can see by the photos I have been slow feeding it with palm focus. I have included photos from when we first planted it (night photo) another about 1 month after we planed it (photos through the doors) and its current state.
Is the tree saveable or is it likely to die? Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
E

Not an expert, but something I’ve learned from this sub is there should be some root flare exposed above the soil. This looks to have been planted a bit deep.
