Coelogyne pandurata getting ready to make a spectacle

Will make a post when it fully blooms and reaches it's peak. I may join my local orchid society to get it judged next month. I went to their last meeting for the first time and was the youngest individual which felt a bit awkard but im keen in maybe getting to know and talk to people there. Also funny story, I did attempt to go to one of their meetings a few years back (I was around 16 y/o, currently 18), but when I arrived, I did not want to go alone so I was asking and begging my parent to go in with me but they where not interested in that, so I had to man up and go in. When I walked up near the entrance, I just saw that there where only elderly people sitting on the chairs (what else could I have expected lol) and that made me feel very out of place and awkward/scared off so I quickly left and got in the car before anyone saw me or my parents left. Honestly I kind of regret it because I could have made great connections and friends/comrades if only I had went in that day. And hell, maybe those old folks could see me as their pupil or knowledge inheritor in the orchid hobby lol.
