My husband put some very old pomegranate seeds and google lens says it's just that, but I'm curious to hear opinions since he often just plants random things and hopes for the best lol

Looks like it to me. We had 4 pomegranate trees in our yard growing As a bonus we had an olive tree and a mulberry tree

  4. Yes most likely, that’s what they look like. Good job propagating

From seed they can vary a bit. Out of 15 seedlings I got one which makes a sweeter fruit & one which has yellow flowers. The fruit of the yellow flowered one is very, very sour & clear colored inside instead of red, but by mid winter the birds like it’s fruit & I like the yellow flowers, so I haven’t removed it.

They grow on a tree. Have been around pomegranates all my life. They are very good and very healthy. It’s the seeds that are important. They have the important nutrients. But I buy the Pom/Pom juice and use it to make my pomegranate jelly. Very good.

Definitely is. I have one in my yard, grown from grocery store fruit seed.
