Discovered thrips (I think) on her today after noticing some browning on the leaves and curling back, and the newest leaf turning brown and not unfurling. Can she be saved? 😠already gave a good rinse in the shower and a spray of Yates

IMO it can be saved, tomorrow go to Home Depot or local store and buy captain jacks insecticidal soap and spray it down. Next, buy bonide systemic granules, you might have to order them online though. Coat the top of the soil with them. It’s a beautiful plant, you’ve gotta at least try
either a systemic containing acephate, or imidocloprid, or a ‘standard’ every 3-5 days thorough spraying w/ a water/insecticidal soap/alcohol mix for about 6 wks will work. doesn’t matter if you spray w/ that, or dead bug brew (spinosad) and the like. the absolute key is the repetition and frequency.
had thrips twice, 3 rooms of plants, 2 yrs. ago. still have every plant from then and then some. you’ll be fine as long as you’re ruthless w/ the attack.
miticides (like bifenthrin, dichlorvos) will work, but only for so long. then the mites get resistance, and you’ll HAVE to switch up methods anyway ; )
fwiw
Get on Buglogical’s website and order predators for the adults, eggs, and larval stages of thrips, wash the fuck out of the plant. I don’t use systemics bc I like to keep my good bugs healthy and only kill the pests. If you do the releases as the instructions say, it always works for me! Good luck! And if you have other plants, treat them too. Thrips are sneaky
