This Japanese-inspired garden in Greenwood Village, Colorado has EVERYTHING: an epic koi pond, upper and lower ponds, a wetland filter, custom round Japanese stepping stones, AND an insane bonsai greenhouse.
I’m Brian Helfrich with Team Aquascape, filling in for Greg Wittstock, The Pond Guy, and I’m here with my friend Matt Hiner from Hiner Outdoor Living @hineroutdoorliving tour one of the most incredible Japanese gardens we’ve ever seen.
The main feature is a Japanese garden koi pond with:
– Upper & lower koi ponds connected by meandering waterfalls
– A wetland filter “kidney” midstream for crystal clear water
– Custom round concrete steppers that create a floating step effect
– Destination boulders and pathways that pull you through the garden
– Japanese maples, unique conifers, and tight, detailed hardscape
