What do I do with all these pitchers coming out of the ground?? Does this mean the whole thing needs repotting? When I repotted once it almost died!! And also, right now all the pitchers are also all sticky and not sure why…….

  1. It’s a Basal offshoot, nothing to worry about. They can be as a result of lots of things; shocks, repots, vining, and just doing well. No need for a repot, and it will grow just fine. Pitchers may just be producing more sugar/sap on the rim and is also nothing to worry about.

I usually either pull and reroot the basal or if the mother is getting too leggy/vining cut the main stem and root sections of it. I have too many nepes now. Send help.

  3. It’s a basal offshoot, completely normal. I separated mine from the main plant and it’s been taking literal months to get going lol it’s sooo slow. It will probably be happier if you just leave it there. Nepenthes can be very very dramatic about repotting.
