I’ve noticed that Philodendrons in my collection have this problem a lot when a new leaf comes in that it’ll get stuck trying to get out of the sheath, sometimes snapping the steam or even rotting the leaf if not noticed in time.

Also just had a new leaf come in recently on my PPP (peep out on the one above it!) and the leaf came out fine. It didn’t get stuck or need any assistance but noticed that the leaf came out looking like it’s been ripped in half. Can also see a smaller one below it. Is this a natural thing that happens with philodendrons or is there something I can do to mitigate it.

Ppp are finicky. It’s a humidity issue
