Hi! I have this cutting that I’ve been propagating in water for (I actually don’t remember how long). Is it ready to be potted yet?? It grew two new leaves and one more is on the way.

I potted mine around this time as well and it’s doing swimmingly now 😁

It will root in soil too, so its ready any time you are. The big advantage to water is watching the roots form.

Just be careful to minimize root damage while potting. And keep in mind that needs change in soil. In particular, the roots in soil need access to air as well as water, so we aim for damp soil, like a well-squeezed sponge. Any wetter and things begin to rot.

As soon as you see roots coming out, take it out of the water or it will start to rot
