Butterfly weed seedlings

I scattered seeds from my butterfly weed plant in the fall and am so happy to see that they germinated and are growing. I have already thinned them out a little bit and will have to probably thin out a little more (some that I cut started growing back so I must have not cut down far enough). My last year’s butterfly weed has not emerged at all despite fairly warm temperatures since beginning of March here in Zone 8a/b north of Atlanta, GA.
