I received this satun stardust yesterday in the mail. It arrived literally soaking wet. My leaves were completely stuck together and dripping water. They are really droopy and sad looking. My leaves feel thin and weak. I’ve reached out to the sender but is this typical for shipping? I know senders typically water before shipping but I’ve never had one arrive so wet. But I am new to shipping plants so I’m not sure.

What do you guys think? Should I be concerned?

The leaves could have been wet through guttation. Do you see signs of edema on the leaves themselves? Probably overwatered before shipping if so.

Make sure the soil dries now. You can loose a leaf or all of them but if the corm rots, there’s no coming back.

Alocasia have a rough time with shipping. Maybe even in this sub use the search feature to search Alocasia shipping and see what others are saying.

Even if it were to drop the leaves as long as the rhizome is fine it should reshoot just fine
