I was watching the story of the French company making air cleaning efficiency in plants better. Apparently they have a strain of red pothos (most likely engineered, or stressed)

But I’m just curious if anyone has seen any of their Epipremnum Aureus ever make reddish leaves? (Not philodendron pink princess or epipremnum pinnatum)

Just thoughts and questions.

I’m waiting for a “raven” black pothos

these are genetically modified and probably, at least in my guess, mixed with algae genes since algae has air purifying properties. its unlikely a pothos would do this on its own

Even though they are modified to purify the air it would still take the entire room stuffed with the plant from floor to ceiling with no room to walk to get any measurable effect on air quality. If they are marketing it as ‘air purifying’, it is a gimmick. Do they have any research or accredited studies available backing their claim?

Kaylee Ellen on YouTube has an entire video on how neoplants is a scam. Highly recommend.

To answer your question, none of my epipremnums have produced reddish leaves.
