I have this beautiful tree in my yard which I have assumed to be an autumn blaze maple. The previous owners planted it 13 feet away from the foundation. I've suspected for years that it's too close and it's beginning to lift my walkway slightly. Should it be removed? If not, how would you go about remediating the roots lifting the walkway further? Thanks.

    It’s a little too close.

You could hire a guy with an excavator and move it while dormant. If you get a good portion of the root ball it won’t even notice.
