I’m 8 months pregnant & have let my philodendron get a little out of control… Any advice for freeing the stuck leaves? Should I repot & try to stake it somehow? Or propagate? It doesn’t seemed stressed at all & the roots are doing great! I know she’s a bit gnarly, but any advice would be appreciated🙏🏻

Woah! I’ve never seen a philodendron grow like that! What type is it? I’m following to see what others think about it
It’s a Variegated Burle Marx Philo my friend gifted me from Palm Street in November! It only had about 3 leaves when I got it…. And now I fear all of her growth is stuck bunched up in the middle😭
Its so scraggly scrungly
You can take a q-tip, wet it and gently ease them out of the sheath. Thats what I do. Others may say to get a damp cloth, wrap it around the stuck parts and then you can help them or they may come out on their own.
Some say to leave them and let nature do it’s thing – ‘in the wild they dont get help’, but they aren’t in the wild, they’re in your home🤷♀️ its personal preference. I’d rather risk a slightly damaged leaf if im not gentle enough than a fully snapped broken leaf if it gets stuck and is left to its own devices.
ETA – beautiful burl marx by the way. I have one not nearly doing this well. Any tips?
