hello!
I’ve had 2 begonia rex’s in a terrarium for about 2-3 months, one of them dropped its leaves but has a lot of growth. The other has been doing well until recently i’ve noticed the edges turning brown.
I know they have small thin roots so I make it a point to not over water them. I don’t water them normally, I just mist water into the terrarium when needed. I was noticing that it seemed they were needing more water more often so I have been spraying them more frequently.
It’s just hard to know if it’s too much water or too little. They were in direct sun and were fine, now they are in bright indirect, the humidity in the terrarium is pretty high so i also don’t think it’s that. Please let me know ur thoughts and what i should do differently.
Should i take everything out and change the soil to half perlite half fluval stratum? they are in a very chunky mix with rocks and perlite at the bottom now.
Thanks for your help! 🙂
also sorry the pics are bad, it’s hard to get good ones with the reflection of the glass on the terrarium
