In this early summer homestead update, I’m working on fencing off my wheat plot to keep the chickens out and giving a full look at what’s going on around the backyard.

I share updates on my flock from laying hens to pullets and chicks along with progress in the berry patch with raspberries and blackberries. I also show how my garden is coming along, including zucchini I direct seeded, and talk about future plans for a new hoop coop location.

This is part of my journey building a backyard homestead and becoming more self-sufficient one step at a time.
