Let’s have a moment of silence for these dear recently departed Bradford pears 😢

lol jk byeeeee 🎉 Gonna replace them with a Chinkapin oak, a redbud, and a serviceberry.

As a side note, in what might be the best news I’ve heard regarding Bradford pears, the tree service discovered that both my and my parents’ trees were so heavily infested with borer beetles that they would not have lived long if we hadn’t had them cut down now. I think this is good news from an invasive species control standpoint? I mean, there’s finally something that will kill them, so yay, right?

    They will resprout from the roots vigorously unless you paint that stump.
