I have had this fiddle leaf for 8 years and it has always done well. In those 8 years, I never repotted it because It was doing well and I didn’t want to disturb it. About 3 weeks ago I finally decided to repot it while doing my other indoor plants. I soaked the soil (pot has drain holes) shortly after repotting it but haven’t watered it again (soil still moist).

How cooked is my fiddle leaf? Any suggestions on what I should do?

The plant has been in the exact location for 8 years.

What kind of potting soil did you use? Sounds like you might have used something pretty awful if it’s still wet after almost a month.

It’s also worth noting, that is an AWFUL place for a fiddle. Dark corners are awful places for most plants, especially light loving plants like fiddles. PLEASE move it right in front of a bright window. That will also help dry out the soil faster.

I’d go ahead and prune them back as well.

If you fix the moisture/water issues and give it more light, I’d give it a 50% chance of surviving.
