I am sure many of us will agree that not much can beat a trip to B&M. As both a homeware enthusiast and bargain hunter, I am often in my local store more often than not.

Now that it is beginning to get quite nice out there, I decided it was time to give my home interior a bit of a refresh. Of course, I can imagine that pretty much everyone right about now is looking to overhaul their outdoors space.

As someone who lives in a flat, I don’t exactly have access to a garden. That being said, I do like to take a trip down the retailer’s aisle of outdoor furniture quite often, just to see if there is anything worth keeping an eye on – and I spotted two bistro sets for just £50 worth a mention.

Bistro sets are ideal for pretty much any outdoors space. Thanks to their usually compact size they can maximise the use of any space, creating the perfect spot for relaxing solo with a coffee in the morning, or for hosting some company.

While some can be quite pricey, it is worth noting that the bargain high street retailer has been offering these handy sets at some of the most affordable prices. In fact, many of them are significantly cheaper than both Dunelm and The Range.

As for my most recent trip, I managed to find both the Valencia Rattan Effect Bistro Set and the Sorrento Rattan Effect Bistro Set. Costing £50 each, these are going to come in perfect for the currently warmer weather we are experiencing.

Now that temperatures are slightly on the up, these three-piece suites will be useful for those who want to enjoy some al fresco dining, whether that be a spot of breakfast to start the day, or a relaxing drink at the end of a hard day.

Both bistro sets look virtually identical, with the only difference being the colourway. For those who prefer darker hues, I’d recommend the Sorrento, while the Valencia offers a lighter brown, but both will suit any modern garden décor.

Aside from their practicality, another feature I personally love is the rattan-effect material of the two dining chairs. If you’re into homeware, then you’ll know that the rattan garden furniture trend never seems to end, particularly during the summer weather.

Adding that touch of boho-chic to any outdoors space, B&M’s affordable bistro sets are certainly on trend. They also come complete with a tempered glass top table that is both durable and the ideal size for holding those all important snacks and drinks.

Another reason why I think these garden bistro sets are worth picking up is that they are quite versatile. While they are perfect for gardens, the compact, lightweight designs make them suitable for smaller spaces, or for those like myself who don’t have access to their own garden.

They can come in handy for those who want to add a comfy, relaxing piece of furniture to their balcony or patio. That’s not all, as they can also be used as an extra dining spot for any indoors space.

Want to see if there are any more garden dining sets available to buy at affordable prices? Then it’s also worth noting that B&M has currently launched a huge bank holiday sale, with numerous furniture items on offer for half-price.

While I love these smaller bistro sets, larger households can check out the Monaco Reclining Dining Set that is now £150, down from £300. With six chairs, a glass top table and a parasol for those extra sunny days, this eight-piece set is perfect for enjoy family meal times outdoors.

There’s also a couple of five-piece dining sets included in the retailer’s sale right now. For example, I have spotted the Canterbury Rattan Effect Dining Set that offers “comfort and style” for just £100, down from £200.

However, as something of a homeware buff, I know bistro sets are usually a popular buy at this time of year, that’s why I’d advise checking your local store for the £50 Valencia and Sorrento sets while you can.
