What did I do wrong and what do I do now? It looks like I can just slice off the dead/discolored limbs but will it heal over? And how do I prevent this from happening again? He’s been inside for the winter, still have to wait another couple of weeks before he can go back outside temperature-wise. The rest of the plant seems to be okay. 🤞

You can indeed cut off rotting/dead limbs. Be sure to use gloves as the sap is poison. This could be caused be over watering or under watering. I’d take out of pot, check roots, and using and clean and sterile knofe cut away any rot.
