Today we’re doing a full backyard makeover and spring refresh, turning a messy yard into a clean, budget-friendly outdoor space with landscaping, planting, and a total reset! If you need cleaning motivation, yard work inspiration, or a backyard glow up on a budget, this one is for you.

In today’s video, I’m taking you along as we transform our backyard step by step—cleaning up the space, pressure washing, prepping the ground, planting flowers, and creating a space that actually feels peaceful and usable again. This is real-life progress over perfection, and I’m showing you that you don’t need a huge budget to make a big impact.

As a busy mom, I know how overwhelming it can feel when outdoor spaces get out of control—but sometimes all it takes is starting small and building momentum. Whether you’re tackling your own spring cleaning checklist, outdoor reset, or backyard makeover, I hope this gives you the motivation to get started.

This transformation is all about:
✨ Backyard cleaning + reset
✨ Budget-friendly landscaping ideas
✨ Planting flowers + garden bed makeover
✨ Realistic homemaking motivation
✨ Progress over perfection

  1. Well done! The back yard project and the back of the house look sharp! Cookie sure is getting big. She’s so pretty.❤

  2. It looks phenomenal carnt wait till it's finished thanks heaps from Ronnie from Geelong Vic Australia ❤️ ♥️ 💖 💙 🇦🇺 😀 ❤️ ♥️ 💖 💙 🇦🇺 😀 ❤️ ♥️ 💖 💙 🇦🇺 😀 ❤️ ♥️ 💖 💙 🇦🇺 😀 ❤️ ♥️ 💖

  3. Loved watching this video so much! I love all of your videos but I really loved seeing all the work yall did outside and how pretty it looks! This video made my treadmill walk go by so much faster 😉

  4. Cambriea, why did you take down the screened canopy over the pool down? Those are very expensive and raise the property value

  5. Honestly, just put a little bit of pool shock mixed with water in a pump sprayer, and it will literally kill all that off and it will prevent it from coming back as fast.

  6. The Asiatic lilies only bloom once a season. You can try to force them to bloom again. After the petals have fallen off, you can cut off the top and they may rebloom. I only know this because I purchased some at Home Depot because they are full sun and Googled them later and found this out. 😂

  7. This may seem weird but check the ingredients of your sunscreen/body lotion…. I get a weird reaction to mineral oil on my skin and sun.

  8. What a difference! I have St. Augustine grass. You can cut the runners & transplant them in other areas of the yard. Just use a small spade to lift some soil & stick them in. Then be sure to water.

  9. I used to live in Cambria, CA. and across the street from the Pacific Ocean.. We could see the ocean and hear the waves everyday, and night the sound of the ocean was so peaceful.. And since there aren’t very many street lights, we could see all of the stars. It was an amazing place to live… A small quaint town on the California central coast. I met my husband there where he grew up. And we lived near Highway 1, along the coast that takes you up to Carmel and Monterey. I hope you can visit Cambria someday, Cambriea. 😉🩷

  10. Asiatic lillies last the summer..after their season they shed their leaves and only bulbs remain in the soil. You can dig them up and store them for winter and reuse them when summer hits again..here in South India we,leave them in the soil cos we dont have extreme cold winters..they,come up and thrive on their own during summer.

  11. 💕💕Cambria, you have motivated me for many years… 8 or 9 maybe. i appreciate your sensibleness and logic – its not about perfection, it is about progress. wishing i lived closer to you because not only would i love for you to help me with cleaning this apt of the clutter, the motivation / conversation and the company you provide for this old lady would cause my heart to …. just feel. living is washington state i know this would never happen…lol. thank you so very much (yes, i did leave this exact message on a previous video… but fig you would be less likely to see it)

  12. I love that faux flower fence idea! I might look for some for the back of my house. I just ordered that juicer from your link, I'm super excited! Thank you guys! ❤

  13. Looks great 😊 I love the lime wash. I have a sun allergy too, also break out in hives. My dermatologist called it Solar Urticaria. I have done lots of research and I believe it's caused by being exposed to certain chemicals. Do you mind if I ask if you were ever prescribed any prescription strength acne treatments? I used to get hormonal acne on my chin and used a prescription retinoid something or other, which I believe was the culprit. The best treatment I've found is taking antihistamines and using a sunscreen with Avobenzone. That ingredient specifically, for sun allergy ❤
