Blueberries need acidic soil to thrive, and fertilizing them the right way in early spring makes a big difference.
Use an acid-loving fertilizer and sprinkle it around the outer edge of the plant (not right at the base), then water it in well.

For containers: about 1–2 tbsp for small pots, 2–4 tbsp for larger ones. Start light for new plants.

You can repeat every 4–6 weeks during the growing season for established plants.

  1. What if they’re planted in the ground, where should I put the fertilizer? This is my 1st year& I have 5 bushes but different varieties. Only my peach sorbet is in a pot. 😊

  2. Orange peels and lemon peels work too . Pine needles and I also use my coffee that was made but not finished ( for drinking) pour into to plants. When the flowers start blooming I’ll use fresh coffee grounds and mix it with the soil .( today it’s very expensive to do this ! But it’s worth it)
