Today we are fixing a bunch of problems that I have made. They seemed like a good idea at the time!
I also wanted to share some of my garden design ideas– in the process!! I am learning a lot in the course I am taking!

Hey there! My name is Abby and over the last few years I have renovated a MAJOR fixer upper house!! With the help of amazing friends and family, we have successfully fixed up this old house and turned it into my dream home. I hope you will enjoy seeing this renovation from start to finish. It was an incredible learning experience, as I had ZERO construction skills or knowledge when I started this process. Now we continue the journey of landscaping, gardening, construction projects, home design & decor, organization, and just life!! It is a grand adventure and there is always something to do in the life of a homeowner! I am just a girl with a drill and a dream.

To make things easier for you, I suggest you put down cardboard with mulch on top…..to create the flowerbed along your shed. Work smarter, not harder!
I love all your ideas and enthusiasm. I would plant your back garden with perennial flowers, shrubs, trees , etc. Plant your veggie garden in front of your shed back from the road with a picket fence, interspersed with more annual flowers. Tilling would be easier if there were no obstacles. Enjoy!!! ❤
It's great that you're taking this class! You're learning alot…you're going to know your property like the back of your hand!
You worked so hard today!! Digging up & replanting, cleaning out the raised bed-all the things going through your mind! It's very exciting & fun to see you so excited!! You are really doing great, Abby. Im learning so many things through you! 💕
what abou t a raspberry bush or maybe try some Apple/fruit trees eventhough they dont mature oevrnight Abby?
It looked like Skippy was looking for your Mom and Dad to come home.😂
You might need to rename your channel “A shovel & a dream “
I hope you don't regret replanting the irises. You'll never be able to get rid of them. So invasive!
I am sure the team will enjoy you taking care while your Mom and Dad are off to Vermont.
Love your vlogs
Always abby,
Wish you the best😊😊😊😊
Your not worth following. You offer no feedback from comments by your fan.
Garden on………..
The class is very interesting and will be of great value to you as things progress. Another idea for the container that collapsed. Get big slabs from a couple of trees and set it on them.
Gardening is definitely a labor of love. Never feel like you've wasted time when planting anything. The lilies and iris' were moved temporarily so at least they stayed alive even without conventional planting!! Gomer kind of looks like my siamese mix rescue kitten, Chicken. Don't ask, why do we call any of our pets what we call them! Also, throw some cardboard down next to the shed, couple layers, then soil and mulch then plant. The irises, hydrangea and the other one will love it. I've found over all the years I've been gardening that the more you try to do everything correctly for the plants, the less they really care. I have plants I've had in the garden pot I brought them home from over 2 years ago. They still grow! Just love what you do and they'll love you back.❤🌺🌱🪴
Veges need 6 hours of full sun a day, why don’t you use the area in front of the shed. A vege garden can always be fenced to make it attractive, also keeps animals out. I have a picket fence with an arbor as an entrance to my vege garden.
👍❤️
Some perennial plants are biennial and come up every other year
Nwo. Why do youths resist age old truth? You don't want your pee and poop in your drinking water or cleaning water, or ypur food water? So simple. How come your parents have not impressed this on you. I know because it is illegal in new York to tell children. Sad generation, that will not pass away until the knowledge of the beas
It's pretty cool to have your back property mapped out – give you a great idea of planning ahead. Taking a course to learn something that's going to benefit your property is a great investment.
❤
I love the way you use your tractor like a wheelbarrow it's a great saver for your back. Love your videos take care xx
Abey be careful if they are foxgloves as they are poisonous to humans and cats and dogs. Take care xxx
kool
I would love to see the Irises along the white shed wall in a proper garden bed. The colour with the backdrop would be awesome 🇦🇺
What a clever lady you are you should be proud of your self working it all out before you start. Your cat is it Ghoma has gone black on his or her back!

Remember not to plant until after the frost risk in your zone
You certainly are doing your research
Raised bed vegetable garden is the way to go
I love that precious kitten ❤. have you metal detectored your land yet❓ for treasure's you did say your homestead was built in I think the 1900's. my irus grew all year around…
Get your dad to make you 4 wooden leg posts to put on the metal flower bed…that will be stronger and then you wont have to worry again about any kind of dirt!
Hi Abby this is a process ,one step at a time. The map idea is great. ❤😊
miss you
Hi Abby. I’m a subscriber to your parents channel , working horses with Jim watched you do chores and you mentioned you channel. Here I am . New sub . Looking forward to to catching up with you 😁😁
Mark your trees with spray painted stakes so you don run over them!
So glad you did this video…..awesome. Get a soil test before you plant anything for the various beds you create!!
Lots of brain work! Kudos!!!
exposure NSEW important!
for veggies, keep them closer to your house, close to water…you can use timers and soaker hoses to water. Closer to the woods attracts deer.
That's what gardening is all about…its a journey not a destination!
Put the bed on some cinder blocks
