I was gifted this monstera and I think the aerial root was cut too short 😕 I put the cutting in water this morning after letting it callous overnight and the aerial root started showing early signs of rot. Looking for suggestions on how I can save this little babe! 🌱

Cutting looks healthy. Don’t worry about current air root. It’ll make new roots, provided that root didn’t set in
Also lower risk if you use moist spaghnum moss instead of water
