Hello. I am presently growing a bevy of plants indoors, wicking / self-watering. I’m using masterblend for my nutrients, 3 part.
My nutes are:
– mixed in 5 gal buckets, 2-2.5 gal warm water, fill with cooler water once it’s all mixed together
– 10 ml of 2% silica
– mix in each part, 2:1:2 (tomato, manufacturer recommended weights for lettuce)
– ph correct to ~ 6
Both solutions come out to 1.8-2 EC. The lettuce & arugula don’t seem to mind yet. I had previously been feeding them a diluted-to-1 EC tomato & veg solution. They were happy there as well.
– If I’m weak and haven’t mixed more tomato nutes up, will I do harm to my herbs, cruciforms, & root veg by using the lettuce formula on them?
– Also, do I need to dilute the lettuce formula back down to 1 EC?
