This is my first time transplanting a cutting from water to soil so just want to make sure I've given her the best possible chance🤞

I tried potting the roots about halfway down into the soil, but I noticed the leaf was a bit wobbly when I moved her back to the shelf. Really hoping I haven't accidentally signed a death sentence to my plant 😅 Almost definitely overreacting but just want some advice so I can repot if needed.

That is the petiole, not the stem. What ever is left of the stem is under the soil

Should be ok, hopefully she’ll put out more/new vine(s) from the stem and node under the soil soon.

I would note that this seems much too big of a pot for such a small little cutting. I would think a 2 inch pot max

You should probably have the actually stem above the soil line. Burying it this deep could lead to rotting
