Hello everyone. I was taking the rubbish out today and I stumbled upon this baby. Abandoned under the baking sun. Why? Because its blooms were spent… I was so angry but also happy because I just made a new friend today! She's quite big. Roots seem overall healthy. And look at all these stems! I'm repotting her right now. Should I cut the stems off or leave them? The plant looks perfectly healthy honestly.

P.S. My local florist has become a friend and I told her what happened. She literally told me she sold that orchid a few weeks ago. She had one of the same ones left there. Photo 8 is the one there which seems to be identical. 120 euros… Guess I got me a nice freebie!

Looks like you got 2 new friends in there! Both look to be quite healthy, too!

120 euros? 😮 it’s beautiful but really expensive

Nice score. I’ve found a couple that way. Only one survived, though.

I get that they’re often used as decoration in salons and spas, but I wish they’d at least water them, which they often don’t. It looks like your find was at least cared for.

Beautiful plant. Why would anyone toss it?
