Minnesota Grown is part of the Department of Agriculture, and today we talk about cut flower gardens.

Cut flower gardens are trendy in gardening, allowing people to create homegrown bouquets.

Rachel Wandrei, marketing manager for Minnesota Grown, said they provide beauty in both outdoor and indoor spaces.

“What I learned while I was doing a little bit of research is they can even be called ‘cut and come again.’ The more you even cut them, it’s better. They’ll flush again and produce even more flowers,” Wandrei said. “So you don’t have to feel bad about cutting them, that you’re going to waste the bloom.”

Minnesota Grown is part of the state Dept. of Agriculture. They have 1,400 members and encourage people to shop local.
