We have a bean growing observation happening at school. Paper towels. Some of our radicles have a blacky brown growth on them and look like they're dying. Can anyone help???
Came back after a 3 day weekend and they looked like this. Possibly not watered enough? Towels feel dry

Do these not have lids to keep the moisture in? If the towels are mostly dry then that is indeed the issue.
If you redo don’t just keep the lid closed all of the time, then you’ll get mold. Maybe keep them open during the day and amend with water as needed and close over night. Weekends would have to be closed and hope for the best. Spraying with a hydrogen peroxide solution can help to control mold growth.
