Why would anyone want to make a garden look "expensive"? Gardens should feed the spirit not satisfy the ego by suggesting affluence. Your design ideas are purposeful but I question the need to foster the appearance of opulence.
It's not opulence or ego, it's the beauty of design that feels like luxury.
Thank you for giving us this wonderful tips! Not only do they look more expensive(designed, intentional), but they add to a calmer and more joyful space people can enjoy.
I’ve seen so many times people put lots of small (sometimes beautiful objects), but put too much together and it screams clutter. Save money from 10 small pots and spend it towards an elongated planter.
I’m going to use your tip on fences, where you say rather groupings of schrubs/higher plants rather than one straight line effect. I’m also going to paint my white plastered wall a darker colour. I think of a very dark green that mimics a dark shaded forest. That way, with my schrubs in front of it, it might look like the space goes deeper. (I’m not ready for a charcoal, although it does look beautiful).
I’ll also think where I can incorporate some sort of path with a beautiful stone. My house is modern with clean lines, and now I’m using your tips to help extend my living space seemlessly towards the outdoor.
With my outdoor space upgraded, my space will look complete finally. Thank you! 💚🌳☀️
Wrong about the lights. There is nothing that screams tacky more than lights that emulate an airport strip.
Great tips!! Thank you!
Photos do not match the narrative. Do better. Also, using the same foundation plantings makes your home look like an office building with boring corporate landscaping. Opt for a mix of natural foliage shrubs, small trees, and some sculpted evergreens. You get depth and a sense of artistic order.
Amazing tips! Thank you! Never thought of that!
A string of overhead bulbs looks like a children's birthday party.
Please but the link for theses items as I've just paid £50 for 2 cans of outdoor paint
Amazing ideas 😁 👍
String lighting is a little tacky. It's preferable to install O.D. lighting hardwired and on a timer.
