I fought this long year after year after year and I’m finally over it. How can I cover this creatively – any suggestions?

Is the dead spot full sun or just a desire path? Or ants, I suppose.

Find a few plants that are native to your area and therefore can take care of themselves with minimal intervention.
Plant a few natives with low water requirements, water a few months until they get established, after that do yard work maybe twice a year and forget you have a yard the rest of the time.

Some short white clovers are super tough and drought tolerant once established and you might be able to naturalize some english daisies, the little pink and white kind? Ive seen them blend jnto lawn edges nicely.
