– The biggest danger to them is root rot. You’ll want to repot with a nice chunky mix with a large medium like perilite, bark, coco husk, etc.
– When you water, make sure to fully saturate the soil until water comes out the hole in the bottom of the pot. Don’t just give it half a cup of water and call it a day..The roots are deep in the pot, and that’ll only wet the top layer.
– Don’t water too frequently, the roots like to moderately dry out between waterings. To check, stick your finger into the soil, and water whenever the top 2ish inches are dry.
– When you repot, you’ll quickly realize that you didn’t just get monstera number 2..You’ve got numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and maybe even more in there! Nurseries often pack a bunch of plants of varying stages of maturity in the pot to make them appear “full”. Some people like to keep them that way, while others (myself included) prefer to split them up into individual pots, so you can give them all the appropriate care.
– They’ll need a lot more light than you’d think. Put them right up against the window, and they’ll do great.
– These plants are directional. Unlike other plants, you don’t want to rotate them. Instead, put a pole up against the spine of the plant and face the front toward the window. Plenty of posts on this sub detailing how to identify the front/back and where to tie the stem to the pole.

How much light is it getting? Measure it with a light meter app. I’m fairly certain it will never get enough light there without supplementary lighting.
