I put this marble queen pothos on a moss poll about 3 weeks ago, give or take. Since repotting her on her own, she has not put out any new leaves and she won’t root in the moss poll.

I know moss poles need to stay consistently moist (using a water drip on top of the moss pole) to entice roots and provide enough water for the them, but given that I have her in such a small pot, I don’t want to risk the water pooling and causing root rot.

I know she is healthy right now and I should be more patient and I’m trying to but I thought it atleast would have put out another leaf by now.

Should I be more patient ? Am I over thinking it ? This is my first ever moss pole and I tried to research what I could. Any advice helps 🌱

The pole has to remain moist for it to take root. The moisture helps activate the nodes which cause the new roots to pop out and take root in the pole. I had a couple poles going last year, I ran into the “too wet” thing as well. You’ll have to find a system that works for you, a mister bottle helped me tremendously. And yes, you will have to practice lots of patience with this method! πŸ˜„

Usually the best way to avoid root rot with a moss pole is that super chunky, extremely qell-draining soil. That way you can just pour water down ur moss pole and let it drain right out the pot into a drip tray. Then you can dump the drip tray into another plant. That’s my best advice. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
