They show that there may be trash but what they don’t show is that they may be some persons turd in there
I’m sure this was probably not what you were expecting or wanted. But like damnnnn I wish this were me. As someone who makes a lot of mushroom logs and only heat source is a wood stove, I’m always on the lookout for wood like this I can work with. Ive been practically begging for hardwood pieces like those haha
Chip drop is such a cool program. I would have been thrilled to get a bunch of logs; the one time I got a drop it was all chips which was fine and probably easier to deal with!

I had a similar situation though not from chip drop. I have an open backyard in the country, so I made a giant fire ring, made from logs, and burned the others. It took a few months to burn through them.
Time to get splitting

Chip Drop and Rounds. If it’s free you are the product, however you can inoculate those with mushroom plugs if you like.
Friend of mine got a fully-active beehive on her driveway from her chipdrop delivery (and the rest was junk, too). And I’ve seen a few other horror stories from them in person.
Never been tempted myself; I’ll gladly pay $20/yd for what I want when it comes to mulch.
That being said…where I am, that’d be a score! Trunk sections of that size? Hardwood? For *free*? (Grass is always greener on the other side, of course 🤣🤣)
