I’ve seen a lot of them around, for what that’s worth. Alyssum grows like crazy, as does lantana. I believe lupine and coreopsis are native, or naturalized. Coneflower is a good one, though you may have difficulty sprouting it.

No, do not spread this mix. It contains a lot of non native species.

Lantana (and I think Alyssum) are considered invasive in California. There are other/better places to get seed mixes of CA natives!

White Alyssum, White Yarrow, Bachelor Button and Wallflower are mildly invasive to SoCal. Painted Daisy is quite invasive.

Seconding what other people have said, a lot of these plants are invasive in SoCal. There’s someone I found on instagram who sells hyper-local native seed mixes for different California regions, I’ll link them if I can find them again!

Alyssum is not native to North America. I would search for native seeds for your specific area. For a large area, you may also want to consider native shrubs. They will fill a larger area and, once established, provide shade for your other plants and shelter for animals.

Half of these are invasive and several of them require too much moisture for southern California.

Glad I asked here. I picked up a california native one I hadnt seen when I posted this. Nothing people have warned me about in this mix.
