Use a table or a raised area. If you comb through all the roots and separate them while leaning over it on the floor… your back is gonna hurt a lot tomorrow. Learned the hard way myself, lol.
Other than that just be as gentle as you can, but monsteras are pretty hardy and can handle a lot. I have a large one on my porch that the damn squirrels have knocked over multiple times and she doesn’t seem to care except for some mechanical damage on her leaves.

Help! Should I separate the ones on the right on down or are they ok like that? The ones on the left feel apart easily. Do I put one per pot?
I did this over the weekend, I had 12 plants in mine and now I have 5 with 2 in each pot and one with 4 babies that I will separate when they get bigger 😅
