Hoje apareceu uma barata na minha composteira. Quando eu remexi o composto ela saiu de dentro correndo e foi embora, minha composteira está sempre bem fechada, não tem por onde ela ter entrado. Como será que ela foi parar lá? Isso significa algo? Tipo será que estou errando na quantidade de serragem? Pra mais ou pra menos?
Não falo inglês bem mas já vi que tem muita gente aqui com muito conhecimento e são todos muito simpáticos e prestativos, já agradeço pela ajuda.
(Eu vi aqui que barata em inglês pode ser traduzido de vários jeitos então vou especificar que estou falando desse animal da foto, “cockroach”)

Bugs in the compost is not a thing that I worry about.
I have a pallet compost bin and find these all the time when I break down the bin and start processing the compost. There are also worms in there, ants, sow bugs and several creepy crawlers that I can’t identify. They are help do the same thing, break down compost and turn it into soil.
Roaches always find the compost bin. Usually they are smaller ones, but mine aren’t the German tiny ones. They are s normal part of the process, so just try to keep them as far away from the house as possible.
Bug poop is bug poop as far as the microbes are concerned. Tunnels that allow in again the microbes don’t care how they got there.
When I pull from compost sometimes I have a bunch of dolly Polly’s, they will abandon a pot of compost overnight looking for something closer to the ground.
I also allow the ants, this winter an ant nest, kept my pile a consistent 90f with me not turning just adding new scraps and browns on top. When I turned and watered it really well earlier this spring the ants left.
