Hi everyone,

I’ve recently started getting into gardening (as in, just this week!) and was hoping for some advice on removing a few established plants. They were originally planted around 8 years ago and, although they’ve been cut back a couple of times, they’ve continued to regrow and are now quite large.

I’m looking to remove them so I can replant the area, but they’re surrounded by driveway tiling, so I’d really appreciate any tips on how to tackle this without causing damage.

There are also quite a lot of snails in the garden beds, and I’d love suggestions on how to relocate or manage them in a way that minimises harm.

Thanks 😊

Just cut it up with a pruning saw and keep cutting any new growth. You could dig the roots out with a mattock and crowbar

Draecaena. Cut as close to the ground as possible and paint the stumps IMMEDIATELY with glyphosate. Monitor for, and pullout, new shoots.
