This plant was given to my parents as a Philodendron, but I had no idea they were fenestration plants, so now I'm not sure? I have a Monstera and I don't think the leaves look like one, so I think it's still a philodendron, but I'm really not sure now…

Looks like a Monstera.
To me, that looks like a young monstera based on the leaf shapes and fenestration!! If I had a picture of mine when she was a baby, I’d share it to show you. But immature monsteras have a tendency to be accidentally IDed improperly as philodendrons
It looks like a baby monstera! So exciting to have its first fenestrated leaf! Must be happy (‘:
Definitely a young monstera. Fenestrations mean its happy!
No but their monstera does!
Well, I guess that’s it, a young monstera! I found it strange because I also have a young monstera, but less bushy and with slightly larger leaves. I think my monstera does not have quite the same shape as the small leaves. I imagine it’s because he’s younger
I have a philo that’s getting over a case of mealy bugs. When I purchased it, it was big with fenestrations but now there’s none. It’s starting over…. I’m find with that though 🥰. I have something to look forward too.
