Them going black is normal as the traps die off, i normally wait until they become fully black including the traps stem before deadheading. Get a tray or saucer and keep it filled, and never force the traps to close with no food! I can see new growth on that so keep it going, it’s looking good

Also depending on if you want more seeds or not you can cut the flower off- less traps will grow if it’s left to flower- can think of it like diverting energy, it’s either gonna focus on reproducing or growing new traps

The more sun you give it, the better it will grow. Seriously, I grow mine outdoors on my sunny patio. Always keep it in a tray with water, it is a wetland plant and can’t dry out. Only rain water or distilled water.

Try to repot it with peat soil or peat moss/perlite mixture. The little pots from the store they come in are known to not last the traps for very long.
