Jym's LiLi (80s4.1).
One of the first trichs I ever bought, last autumn. It was a 14" 'mid' cut (base of a large branch). Arrived with a little bit of shipping rot on the other end. I debated how far to cut but ultimately decided to cut as much as possible; leaving just enough that I thought would regrow.
The puck was only about 1" on the short side. I had no idea what I was doing. I don't think I even had any potting mix yet.
I kept an indoor, extremely DIY, light cabinet over the winter. This *was* one of the ones in my collection that experienced no problems over the winter.. but I sunburned the other side of the puck, along with several other cacti, about a month ago. LiLi apparently didn't care about that little incident.
