Hi all,

Would in be a good idea to plant this Virginia creeper in the ground rather than a pot? Or option would be a larger pot.

I want cover the whole arch, I could even plant one on either side

Idk man but it needs something. In or out of the ground that guy looks sad and like he needs a good watering consistently and some fertiliser. Probably some mulch too

One Virginia creeper will cover your whole house in the ground (even if you put on several extra storeys).

2x Larger containers would be the wiser solution if you want to totally cover the portal wall evenly. Even then you’ll want to keep up trimming to avoid it getting away.
