Hello, last autumn I planted a few Northern Red Oaks (Quercus rubra), and now they’ve started to bloom. I noticed that one of them hasn’t produced any leaves and has these formations (visible in photos 1 and 2). The other two trees already have leaves, as can be seen in the third photo. Can anyone explain why this difference exists? Could there be a problem with the tree that doesn’t have leaves? In terms of size, it is actually thicker and more developed than the others, in case that detail is relevant.

Thank you!
