Aldi’s egg chair is back for spring with a new take, leading the budget supermarket’s new outdoor collections of affordable, practical and stylish furniture and accessories for the garden and patio.
Aldi has built a reputation for surprisingly high-quality products at more-than-fair prices and its egg chair in particular has been somewhat of a cult favourite over the last few years.

Now back with a fresh new look, the egg chair – a freestanding design rather than the hanging variety – is described as ‘a perfect blend of modern style and cosy relaxation’. The durable steel frame with powder coating offers sturdy support, the natural wicker design creates a cosy, cocooning spot to relax in, while plush cushions and a fold-out side table add extra comfort and convenience. At £139.99, it delivers biophilic style for less.

Aldi’s products are now only available in-store, making them harder to get and helping to generate real buzz around particularly sought-after items. If you’re hoping to snap up their Specialbuys, it pays to watch Aldi’s new releases closely – and Garden Marrakesh and Garden Heroes should be firmly on your radar for a seasonal outdoor refresh.

ALDI
One definitive highlight of the Garden Marrakesh range is the three-piece balcony set. It includes a dark-metal table with a glass top and two matching chairs with wicker detailing on the back and armrests. At £99.99, it’s an affordable option suited to outdoor spaces big and small – from compact balconies to larger terraces.
We also have our eyes on a decorative wall-mounted water feature (£49.99), inspired by the ornamental drinking fountains found in Mediterranean cities. With a mosaic-style backdrop of a yellow sun against a sky blue background, it’s an instant mood lifter.

Elsewhere, there’s a three-tiered flower stand (£16.99) ideal for maximising planting in smaller spaces, and charming resin planters with an embossed leaf detail (£7.99) – perfect for a small olive or lemon tree. Fairy lights and Moroccan-style solar lanterns complete the alfresco setup.

ALDI
Alongside the egg chair, Aldi’s Garden Heroes range offers practical outdoor essentials for every garden, including the Kamadao BBQ stainless-steel grill – a £244.99 dupe of Big Green Egg grills, which typically cost around £925 (FYI: competitor Lidl has also launched their own budget version).
Garden Marrakesh lands in stores from 23rd April, while products from the Garden Hero range will roll out across the season, with new arrivals in stores from 30th April and 3rd May.
