I kept this Mr Frans tuber indoors and decided to get it used to outdoor conditions. So I put it outside to acclimate in the morning and now it’s been like 3 days since that.
This morning I checked it again and saw that in the middle of the sprout it decomposed and left this stubble. The weather was good, I kept anti frost fabric on it at night , but I cant figure out what caused this.
I’ve seen that when you take cuttings , new sprouts form at the base of the cut, so can this luckily happen in this case too or is this tuber done for?

It’s hard to tell how it really looks but when I first started my sprouts I misted them down and put a plastic bag over it, they ended up turning black and looking weirdly rotted, I ended up pinching the black parts off to see what happened I’ll add a pic of how they are looking.
