My drainage ditch by the street is full of this plant. Is it iris, daylily, ramp or ?? My plant identification app and Google lens didn't give me good odds for anything in particular.
This is literally ditch lily. Also known as daylily or Hemerocallis fulva.

Image is of green lily like foliage, and similar surrounding plants in a drainage ditch off the side of the road. Looking for identification

Looks like Ditch Lily. Depending on where you live these are awfully invasive and crowd out other plants like nobody’s business and removing them in a massive pain. Someone placed a tarp over a patch years ago and the damn things grew through it which was a huge chore to dig up.

I saw your picture and said, “hey those look like my day lilies.”
The internet has spoken. Also, beware, they’re bad for cats, so don’t cut them and bring them inside if you have kitties.

Daylilies. My greatest nemesis. Been fighting those basterds for 4 years. Previous owners planted them in the front and back flower gardens and let them run wild. I didn’t know I had tulips or daffodils or a second iris until the second summer when I cleared enough they weren’t too choked to bloom.

Ugh. My neighbour gave me a bit of this when I moved in like 12 years ago. I liked it for a couple years and have been digging it up since.
