Wow, never thought that was possible haha (could never happen to me in Scotland)
Brief-Requirement-68
You gotta slowly expose a monstera to bright light, too quickly and they get burnt. Even then they prefer indirect bright! But I’ve placed new ones in front of a south facing window (Florida) with no issues
Oraenges
It may survive and just stay permanently discoloured. I recently burnt most of my plants (legit cried for their mistreatment) by accident a few months ago when I forgot to check the UV index (in Australia)
Pruned the dead and any that gradually popped up dying, and in a last ditch effort, cut out the damage spots that appeared to be spreading in an attempt to see if it would stop it from going further, but left the rest to wait and see. I figured I would be cutting anything back if it didn’t work anyway, but it was a successful experiment, so now I have a few monstera leaves with some ✨️extra vagination.✨️ For the ones that were cautiously left, some plants/leaves have coped as they are however, and seem to be okay. They just permanently look darker like this in a couple places.
