CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) — The OSU Mahoning County Extension Office is ringing in planting season by teaching people how to find their green thumb.
It hosted its 10th annual Spring Garden Workshop on Saturday, featuring several different lectures from master gardeners.
The topics spanned from pest management to stormwater solutions.
“Novice to expert, we have one guy that’s been in today that I think he could teach all of us master gardeners. But then at the same time, we have other people who haven’t even got their hands in the dirt yet,” said Jim Merva, co-chair of the workshop.
We want to spread the information and get more people involved,” said Deborah Tominey, co-chair of the workshop.
Nearly 40 people attended the event. If you’re interested in trying out a similar class, head to mahoning.osu.edu/events.
