Hello all! The family moved into a new house and I managed to convince them to let me keep this upper area as a native plant area. There's a lot of very large rocks (they originally wanted a pool up there but it would have been crazy expensive to dig up) and I'm not sure how to go about this.

My dream is to make this an area for birds, insects, all critters to be able to get what they need with native plants I'm a total noob at it so any and all help is appreciated! I'm in RI, a lot of woods nearby and a small swamp like area further back in the woods if that helps at all.

Thank you! 🙂

Here is a resource from the university of Rhode Island.

So you have ideas to manage the area for native insects.

How much Human use do you want from the area? Do you want to grow food, do you want a series of micro ecosystems or do you want to promote the region of space you are in now?
