


i can’t tell if the membrane is injured or not. would like some insight. this is my first time hatching eggs the incubator is set at 100.3 degrees, 43 humidity, and auto turns every 2 hours. these are quail eggs but i dont see a flare for quail so i put them in chicken. i’m on day 3 today!

I have never done quail, but I would say the likelihood of hatching is 0, based on all the cracking.
I’m interested to read what others would say, though, especially since I have no experience with quail.

Not likely. The shell on coturnix is thinner than chicken eggs but the membrane is tougher. If a chick were to develop, it’ll almost certainly shrink wrap the chick.
Also your temp should be 99.5 for quail.
