Hello,

I need 2 elbows like this for my paludarium set up. I want to put the spray bar at the top to create a waterfall and I need the hose to bend like this. I know brass is a no go, but will work temporarily while I set up the waterfall. Is there anything I can get that is shrimp safe? I eventually plan to have shrimp, snails, and maybe nano fish in the water area.

Thanks!

Usually poly fittings or “black pvc” (ABS) irrigation fittings are a safe bet as they are typically inert. I use vinyl adaptors to taper sizing if they don’t match exactly.

  2. I’d say be aware of the outside diameter of the elbows as well since they can vary from metal. I used brass valves in a canister filter aquarium setup with a bypass to drain and fill from a bucket for years with shrimp snails and community fish never had an issue. I’m not saying do it of course

Have a look at MistKing fittings – Big Als carries them. Not sure if diameter would be suitable, they come in 1/4 and 3/8 inch IIRC.
